I'm all for build what you like, ride what you like, own what you like, mod what you like.

My comments are rarely meant to offend. I do however think that if something is of no benefit other than bling it should be made clear.

Lots of folk use this forum for info and it'd be a bit sad for them to think a cheap endcan is going to find horsepower, or a braced arm is going to create a sportsbike, or a fork brace fix's any handling short comings.

I've tried a LOT of mods, some worked, some didn't, some were just for show. Every bike modded is someone's pride and joy, but let's not pretend everything is an improvement.

I'm not one for any of these mods, but we should all be able to do what ever we like to our own bike and post without people being too critical, or needing to explain why or if it has a benefit/improvement etc. Do what ever the hell you like and if someone has a question, they can ask about it.

If people that are using this Forum are Stupid enough to to jump to conclusions about end cans, braced swing arms etc without asking questions or making an effort to research here first, than they get what they deserve or can go back to farcebook etc. These are the types that post a question here without an introduction and don't bother to even reply to everyone's answers.

This did just start out as a question about why braced swingarms, but it's not the first or last time that threads will go a little of track  ;) :grin:

@Tony Nitrous
Do you think if if someone painted thier tyres blue and white the would make the bike faster or wear out faster .
This would only work on bikes that are trailered everywhere no use on the road .
:lol: :happy1: :rofl2:

Mod away gentlemen. What some of you blokes do amazes boring old me. A Busa Streetfighter, 14 turbos, Nothing but black 14, Upside down forks.Etc Etc. Just makes my time worthwhile for this site. Do what you want to do. Just not anymore Avatar bikes or that brown one.

I like the look of braced swing arms and forks, jack up kits, and flat drag bars, makes a bike look more butch.  I don't like the look of racks, panniers or chrome crash bars on a bike, makes them look a bit too domesticated and girly.  That's just me even though I can see the practicality of some gear I ride what I like and don't really give a shit what other people think, it's nice if they like it but if not  :whatever:
Lets face it most of the bling we bolt to our bike make little or no difference to how they run, it's just cos we can.
Keep the rubber side down.          Mick

Now that is definitely a performance mod :grin:. The scary thing is, people must actually be doing this  :facepalm:

Yep all I was getting at was actually whether the offer a measurable benefit for our bikes. Cheers

But I agree - everyone can do what they like !
