I am considering a Bluetooth headset so my satnav can tell me when to turn rather than me notice I've missed it cos I looking at the road. Once I started to look at what was available it just got more confusing, loads of systems out there, some fit in, some fit onto the helmet and some only fit a modular helmet which I don't have but am also in the market for a new hat as my Arai is now 5. Anyone got views, recommendations, experience of a good headset.

Personally I've got a Cardo Q1 headset which works fine for me, connects with my TomTom 400 no problem, totally weatherproof - clamps onto the side of the crash helmet with a twin earpiece headset inside and a choice of boom mike or microphone which fits inside a full face lid.

The range which had the Q1 has just been updated by Cardo to the Freecom-1 but there are others available, so depends what features you want. You can still get some good deals on the Q1/Q3 (the Q3 has a bit more range if you want to connect with other riders) if you look at eBay. Latest range here though:

Senna headsets also get a good review from what I have read, but never used one.
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I have a senna headset in my Shoei.. Works really well and allows full use of satnav, phone, music etc...  I like the fact its fully integrated so nothing placed on the outside of the helmet.

Notty

Sena SC10U - for my Schuberth C3 Pro as its integrated and all fits inside the helmet  :)
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Just to jump on the side of this thread .
Does anyone know of a good set of helmet speakers that just plug in as I don't want to be messing about charging up headsets between use .
I have a bar mount kit that charges the phone but need speakers to use as a sat Nav when required that are loud enough to be heard over earplugs , cheap speakers aren't good enough .

I know that with the cardo you can switch off the intercom but can the sena be switched off. I don't want to listen to all the screaming when I'm tackling tight twisty sections.

I like the Nolan N104 modular helmet with built in Bluetooth. I think they have updated both the helmet and Bluetooth now (NCOM5). I haven't used the Sena but the Bluetooth speakers in the Nolan seem a little better than than my BMW helmet (Schuberth) Bluetooth and connects a lot easier. Only issue is my last NCOM4 system stopped working after 3 years, the one on the helmet before that had no problems.
May the sun be warm & shining and your roads be smooth & winding.

I don't know if you have earmold in the UK but I presume you have something similar at least?
