Lost Clutch fluid

Good afternoon all.

Not used my bike in far far too long.
Went to get her out. Checked all over, no leaks, no puddles, but, I have no clutch fluid.

Where can it go?

Will it be ok to refill and try to spot a leak or is it draining somewhere it shouldn't?

If the slave cylinder is leaking it's quite possible it's going on to the chain/front sprocket.
Slave cylinders are known to leak if not maintained regularly that's where I'd check/clean and refurb first

Only way is to put some fluid in the master cylinder and bleed through. It can't do any harm (although I might put some newspaper on the floor first to catch any leaks given its lost it all already). Suspect areas have to be either the master cylinder seals or the slave cylinder.

Hi Ian, to refill & try to find a leak you'll have to bleed the system to remove the air in there. Before you set about bleeding & re-filling, since you're going to have to be under the sprocket cover to get access to the slave cyl, just undo 3 more bolts that hold the slave in place, M8 on a thin extension from memory.
If you haven't cleaned around under there, it'll be quite gunked up with road grime & chain lube.  Depending on how bad it is, you might even be able to see where it's leaking from by the 'clean area'. 

Clean it all up & refurb as necessary, do the busa seal mod whilst you're in there, clean & lube the push rod & reinstall. All easy stuff. 

Now you know the slave is fine, re-fit & visually check your hoses & connections, then begin the fill & bleed process.   The clutch system is all external, so any leaks are not going inside the engine & forming pools of fluid.  Any leakage would have to end up on the floor, under the bike.
