My Oxford heated grips do the same they read battery voltage and if it's not charging they turn off .
it's the future .

To me that USB magnetic thing is just a gimmic.  Just wire the thing to a switched feed & you'll never have a flat battery caused by it either.  Would appear the magnet is in the cap, so when the cap is not on, the power is there - engine running or not, because it's come direct from the battery.


But, each to their own, if it suits your needs, then good.

Or just buy a charger with an on/off switch for £10 ?  :smile2:

Took me 5 minutes to make and fit mine. Took the feed from the horn (only live with ignition on) and two short wires up to the bars. Easy to fit or remove, only on with the key, close to where I wanted it.  I couldn't see the need to overcomplicate things, remove the tank or spend unnecessarily. Several years use and working fine.
