hey chaps,

I have a k4 1400 with wiring harness that I think should have the part no:36610-42F90-000. I'm just wondering if there are any other gsx1400 models that would have an interchangeable wiring harness with my k4 even if the part numbers differ?

cheers.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say the K2, K3 & K4 harness would be the same (no immobiliser) K5 onward has the immobiliser so no good for a K4.  Think there's something different about the light switch & the hazard switch, or is that just northern hemisphere vs south?
😎  Always looking for the next corner.  😎

I think the K2 harness would be different from the K3/4 as (in the UK at least), on the K2, you could switch the headlamp off, on the K3/4 you couldn't (it had a switch for hazards there instead). K5 onwards would be different again as the plug for the ECU changed and an immobiliser was fitted.

@KobyFitz96 - is there a reason for your question?
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I believe the following looms exist -

K2 - with a headlight switch, single plug ECU
K3 - with hazard lights, single plug ECU
K4 - as above BUT twin plug ECU
K5 onwards, immobiliser and twin plug ECU

So no, I think you'd need a K4 loom for a K4, unless you felt like modifying it.
