Hi all, today I opened the Signal Generator Cover (Crankshaft Position Sensor) to have a look and found oil smudge inside...
Then I ran the engine (with the cover opened) and there was engine oil spraying out, is that a normal thing ?

Not sure about normal, but I often found some oil in there in mine, so nowt to worry about
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

i don't think it should be full of oil but oil definitely get in there and thats why the cover has a gasket.

only a gasket if was damaged when you removed the cover and make sure the sealing washer is on the correct fixing bolt on the casing
