Hi all..
I am about to install a full set of EBC HH pads....
A friend reckons they are aggresive on the Disc metal...
I dont remember having issues with them on a Honda CB1300 I once owned.
What are your views please?

If you are installing them on the front discs they are fine, in fact a good pas to fit. For rear discs, yes they can be a bit aggressive so for rears would recommend the EBC GG pads.

I personally ran the SBS Excel pads on mine on the front (which are very similar to the EBC HH, not much between them at all, just my personal preference) with EBC GG in the rear and it was a good braking combination
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I have heard that in general about sintered pads. Makes sense as they do have metal in the compound. Is it significant? I think that depends on the hardness of the disc.

I run EBC HH front and back on EBC VEE discs in front and ABM PEAK in rear. These discs are harder than the originals IMO. I am very pleased with the combo. They don't bite aggressively and have great stopping power. They get even much better after braking them in. Braking in time is longer than with organic pads.

Organic pads are for lighter weight riders (not me), riding where lots of braking is not required, and for those worrying about the longevity of the discs

Thank you both for the information.
Its appreciated.

I have EBC brake rotors and pads on front and rear. Front was always HH pads, rear were first organic (FA254) but few months ago I replace them to sintered ones (FA254HH).

Yes, organics were softer and possible more forgiving on rear (harder to block the rear wheel). But at the same time, they were more dusty, which were very annoying with white wheels. HH on rear are more aggressive, but its not necessary bad thing. It seems to me, it's easier to dose breaking power with HH pads on rear then with organic pads. it's subjective, but I notice, I start using rear brake more, when I want to slow down a little, without compressing my front end (corners).

On front - armed brake lines, EBC rotors and HH pads are very good. Love them. Much more precis than OEM setup.
Wear is a relative matter. Good brakes can save your life. But anyway - there is picture of my rotors, after ~7500km of usage:

I have EBC HH pads in the front and EBC GG pads in the rear. Will probably try HH pads in the rear next time.

I see Northern runs HH pads in the rear. My reason is that i would like to see if I could use less pedal pressure. GG have good feel but at times have had to stand on the brake quite hard to get it to do what i want.
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

I have EBC HH pads on the rear and still have to stand on the brake quite hard - haven't  locked it up yet - passed the MOT last week so guess its ok  :smile2:
The older I get the better I was
The problem with retirement is that you cant take a day off

Thanks everyone for your help on this matter...
I am not an aggressive rider so my brakes get an easy life. So I cant see my discs getting worn very quickly.
I have been a fan of EBC pads on my cars for many years (Red)..

Thanks again
