Metropolitan Police Service, London's world-famous police force, has started trialling hydrogen fuel cell scooters as part of a wider programme to reduce its emissions.

Suzuki has loaned the seven Burgman motorcycles to the organisation free of charge. They will be based at Alperton Deployment Centre during the 18-month trial and will be used by Police Community Support Officers within the Road and Transport Policing Command.

I'm not anti police, but in a society of folk who don't give a f#ck and have no respect for the law, sticking cops on stupid environmentally correct vehicles is just taking the piss. Cops have a bad enough job without being given dumb arse vehicles.

Can't see the point of electric cars.
All the wires will get tangled when they overtake each other won't they? 

They won't use wires you fool, but I wonder how long it's going to take to cut all those slots in the road 

But how will they overtake someone with a duff triple A setup?   
Slot cars in our climate? It dun't make sense at all. 

I'll stick to me LPG powered V6 4x4 and sod the polar bears.
