Soo like from the beginning .
I bought her in July 2012 with 52000 km from the first owner.

She was already pimped up with a lot of goodies.

-Full Akra Evolution exhaust
-Power Commander
-Kn Filter
-LSL handle bars
-Halogen bulb installation
-Givi central and side pannier racks
-Puig big touring screen

And all the original parts that where removed from the bike.
It was a sweet deal. :mwink:

I was coming from a 2006 R1 because a needed a two up bike (marriage on the way) that wasn't all that crazy but still could hang with the big boys.
I fell for the looks and that oil cooled engine.  After buying the bike and driving home for 330 km in the pissing rain my first impressions was FUCK!!! What did i get my self into....

But she had that something that you can't really explain and the more you drove her the more she got under your skin.  :riding:

Soon second gear issue crept up

Any way i drove the bike for almost 4000 km with a slipping second gear. Yeah I know not really a smart move but I was home and didn't want t miss the season.
Soon the gear box was out.
Heres a couple of pictures.

I know that feeling. But it can be fixed.
New shift forks, stronger shift shafts (Hayabusa race parts) and 4 to 5 degrees undercut to 2/6 gears.
I did all that last winter.

Second gear was fixed with original GSX parts.

-new shift fork
-two gears
-new shift shaft
Also as the gear box was out new clutch and all the other little things.
For the past +10 000 km no problems with 2nd gear.

Mechanic who did the job is great ( I thought of doing the job myself but I was sure that I would fuck something up so I gave it to the professionals :whistling:).

And now we come to the biggest issue with the big girl.
Suspension or a budget job Suzuki made. Ok I know you don't need race suspension on a retro bike bla bla bla. But that engine ( especially fully open begs for a better ride).
So after months of trying to dial in the forks and springs (Mcn. setting didn't really help) I decided to invest some money and buy Hyperpro kit  with progressive springs for the front and normal springs in the back.

I finally got what I wanted :boogie: I could now safely lean on the bike in the corners without that I'm on a Boat feeling.
Bike still moves under me but now it's in a controlled manner that makes the ride more rewarding.
