hi folks
has any one had an issue with excessively rich running caused by ecu or one of the sensors playing up but not showing as an error code ?
one day the bike hesitated a few times on medium acceleration and from that point the bike is only getting about 3/4 of its usual kilometerage.
i have had the bike checked for mechanical issues plugs air filter valve clearances , the fuel pump and bypass are ok .apparently the sensors can't be checked apart from the voltage passing and the ecu can only be checked that it is receiving or giving info but not if it is as per spec

Hi Ian, welcome to the forum btw, sounds like a TPS check would be in order. You got a multimeter? (Reliable one for reading resistance - not like me who had one reading wrong)  There's a section on here about setting the TPS. It's pretty simple to do following the instructions.  Use the grey plug method (read the thread & you'll see what I mean)- easier & just as accurate.

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

A fouled fuel injector maybe another cause.

You say you've had the bike checked & plugs were ok?
Just out of interest, what's in there and how long have they been in?
Wouldn't be the first time duff plugs have given trouble.
Did you get new ones installed when getting it checked out?

As Andre says, check, check again and triple check, especially others work.

Good call Col,
I had similar problems with too cold a plug fitted.

Cheers,
