Yes agree with comments on this helmet, had mine for a couple of years, only wear it on longer trips, as my older XR1000 is still a good helmet for skitching about on day rides.

I purchased the GT Air at a discounted rate due to the colour paying only $599au at Peter Stevens in Melbourne. It is a heavier helmet that the XR1000, but fits better around the neck, it seals off the wind much better. The internal visor is a ripper, fantastic, so much better than taking two visors.

My only criticism is that the first notch open is too wide, so I just let it close onto piece of cotton wool taped on to the bottom. It does fog up, but not as much with a airflow from, not being quite closed. I don't use the pinlock system, I don't like it, you end up with too many pieces of plastic to look through. I also wear glasses, they don't interfere with the dark visor.

A great helmet at a realistic Shoei price :whistling: when on sale.

Have found my helmet has loosened up a little now.... bit easier to put on without tearing at my ears.
Like Col said while riding in heavy fog,! it fogged up....between the visor and the pinlock. I could see nothing. Opened the visor and then my glasses had fog turning to droplets and running off them aswell.
Ruined the pinlock visor by wiping it. Do not touch the pinlock visor, they scratch very easily. Bike shop said the pinlock visor is adjustable. You rotate the pins as they are like cams, this puts more tension on the visor and stops fogging between the two visors.
Note to self......if all else fails, read the instructions !!
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎
