Clutch locking tool

Has anyone used this type of locking tool? do they work well?

Thanks Vince, I might take you up on that, it's not for my 1400 but it's could be worth a try.  When I am ready to do the job I will be in contact.

That´s what I have. OK tool, but needs sometimes extra pipe to get more lenght.

It works OK, when you are careful and set the tips just opposite to each otfer (180 degrees).

Weld a bar / handle onto an old steel clutch plate ?

Would do that if I had any old plates but clutch is fine, I just need the basket off to change a spring behind it.

bought one and finally used it yesterday, it worked fine, only problem was it's a bit short so I had to support it on the footrest so I could torque up the centre bolt but it's fully adjustable and did the job well.  Only £13 delivered and should fit all bikes.
