fantastic buddy i look forward to following your news on how it all goes
Got my GoPro's set up front and rear!!!!
Go fr it Dave!
We rode to the Knox Mountain Hill climb in Kelowna BC last year - watched the cars and a few bikes try to beat the best time. Lots of fun.
The orange one was very fast - little screamer with turbo spitting out the tarmac but the B V8 sounded so cool flat out!
:hat:

Have a great weekend Dave.
Well it was a good weekend - I'll post some pictures and video up soon once I've sorted them. Saw one 14 there, I've got a picture and a name, but don't think he's on here. Didn't get to speak as he was in the next set of those to run the hill, so never got the chance.
On the way down though - had a pigeon hit me when I was doing about 75 - ye gods. It actually caught the screen and deflected into the side of my helmet / top of my shoulder, still gave a hell of a thump mind, had it caught me straight on it could have been a different story. No footage unfortunately, but I've avoided the buggers all the way home for sure!
Desperate Dan Pie for Dinner!!!

So some pictures from the weekend - some interesting bikes - look closely at the pictures of the Kawasaki 400 and 250.....yes they are not optical illusions, the guy actually cuts the engines in half with a hacksaw, welds them together and then re-assembles.....clever bugger!
...and this was the GSX1400 that did the run - anyone recognise it? Someone on here maybe?
Some cool stuff there. Is that "400" a 5 cylinder ?
Great photos Barmy.....thanks for sharing.

Yep - and the 250 Kwai is a 4 cylinder. The guy "makes" engines from bolting 2 (or 3) together
Hmm I wonder if its possible to go the other way.... GSX1050 triple anyone?
Allan Millyard has made a v12 Kawasaki and that's his viper.
Shame he didn't have that there as well - that looks fun!!!
....and here's my 2 runs up the hill

Nice ride Dave -That Triple sounds gorgeous :clapping:
Brilliant :onya: The rear facing camera made me feel a bit seasick  :)
How did your times compare Dave?
Stan
They weren't doing timed runs Stan, I've timed mine from the videos I took as around the 1.08 mark for both runs (I think I could have been quicker on the second run, but over a lunchtime demo run, one of the bikes dropped copious amounts of oil on the line in every corner, so I was more looking for that to avoid than concentrating on a faster time).
I know others have gone faster and will go back next year to see if I can improve a bit. The whole weekend is only run as a bit of fun and anyone can enter, which was what made it so enjoyable.
Thanks for putting this up Dave, great perspective. Engine sounds funny though - like it's only running on 3 cyl?
Ya could of at least got it running right beforehand mate :whistling:

Yeah, well I wanted to give that GSX1400 that was running a chance :stir:
The 14 can do great things in the hands of a good rider, it's not always about the HP ya know.
It's a bugger about that oil on the track! I see it was covered, but still! Yeah, that'd put me right off as well, I'd be keeping away from it, covered or not.
