Title: ROUTE PLANNER

Hi, does anyone know of an online route planner that one can plot a route with mouse pointer on the roads one wants to take that gives mileage?
dont want it to plan the route, ie shortest fastest etc, but one that i can pick the roads.
just trying to plot a few runs out and could do with  total mileage to get an idea of time etc.

There's two that I use. ridewithgps.com & tyre. Both are free.

just plotted a circular route matlock bath, cat n fiddle back to the bath, 66 miles, says 2 hours :cruisin:

one for later in the year :boogie:

I use Tyre.... nice free bit of software that also allows you to upload your chosen route or waypoints to birth Tom Tom and Garmin.  Uses Googlemaps.....

+1 on that.
Needs a bit of getting to know its quirks, but checking roads on Streetview (except Germany  :rolleyes:) works very well, when planning a ride, when you want to avoid motorways, dual carriageways, and tracks with grass growing up the middle. 
Also good for sharing with others, who have different nav systems.
