Title: Bridgstone
Post by: T 24 on Thursday, 30 March 2017, 04:09 PM
Has anybody tried Bridgestone  t30 evo tires in 14? Now I have 13 000km driven Michelin PR4:s and Im not satisfied varying wearing of them.

Do you mean they are wearing quicker than you'd like?  13.000 kms seems reasonable !

In my experience there are good tyres (sticky and not necessarily longer lasting) and there are long lasting tyres which aren't as "good"

What sort of kms are you expecting?

That 13 000km is good, very good to me. But especially front tire is wearing like "stairs"

I had PR4's till a week ago. Mine lasted me 13,000 odd k. Back was well into the wear limit and had unusual wear on the outer edges, sort of sharp 1 edge & rounded the other side of the same grove.  The front had a pronounced 'step' on the right hand side as well. These were very good tyres when new, but did tend to track on lines in the pavement, loose grip in the wet & on painted lines.  They never let go whilst I was leaned over though, give 'em that.  Maybe that centre compound is just a bit too hard?

Got Angel GT's on now & just done 1300+ ks on them right out of the box. 400 - 500k in wet. No issues at all with them.  In the other post on Angels v Michy.

fairly standard for bridgestone, im not a fan of them, car or bike. ill get shot down for this im sure. they might grip but wear uneven and dont last. my tyre bloke even said same, he sells them. grip is corsa and decent miles, unreal tyre is angel gt. just my opinion.

What do you think, what is the best tyre for 14? ( ok, I know, it depends on this and that).  And why?   Im looking for long lasting tyre, not for racing.

Angel GT or Mitchy PR4GT.  Couple of us have got 13,000+k out of the Mitchys & Grog is around 20K on his Angels.

Actually, Rogues had PR4's on as well, haven't heard how he got on with his.

I don't have the GT's......... no need for them, weight is not an issue
that said, I went through a set of PR4's just playing in the corners at under 8000k's......... :/
my mate by the same token has upwards of 13000 on his, mainly riding to work, straightline stuff....
personally, if I get Angel GT's at a reasonable price, I'll give them a go... but I'm happy with the grip of the PR4's
