Title: Frank Beard dead
Post by: Mick_J on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, 07:03 PM
Sadly ZZ Top are now down to one member as Frank has just died, the only one without a beard.  RIP Frank

Crap.
They have enough musicians to form an epic rock band up in the sky  :boogie:

I hope we get a few tribute programs

Ah, VALE Frank Beard, ironically the only band member not to have an old school long beard,

Afterburner, my fave ZZ Top album.

I believe the album cover was inspired by the bands '33 Ford Coupe hot rod "Eliminator" and their manager at the time.

All three of them were big into custom cars.

Later they built another prize winning coupe, long, low and black, CadZZilla, a 1948 coupe I think.
