Just saw an ad on Facebook for a black 2008 with only 18k on the clock for $12k. Prices are certainly getting up there now. Another blue and white 07 sold recently and was advertised at $9.5k. I think it had around 50,000 klms on it. Imagine how much the low klm one would be if it had colour lol.

I'd like to say there's no chance of getting $12k but it'd also be good news for the rest of us if he does :cool:
IMO prices haven't changed much. Always a super expensive for sale and then some that seem bargains🤷🏼What I've noticed lately is they seem to sell quicker, disappear off the for sale sites. I've looked at a couple that were advertised vgc, not even my old eyes could make them look good.

Tony, think the first sold for $2800, he actually replied to me. Was another in Brisbane sim price, had cyclone on it, never answered me. Wouldve bought that one.
I'd have the first one, throw the screen away & get the padding put back in the seat.
The cheaper one looks pretty rough and the tank is dented. I am always wary of anything that hasn't been cosmetically looked after. You never know if they have looked after the mechanical side. The $12k one would need to be absolutely mint to warrant that much.
So I am going to get the $12k one tomorrow. I offered him a price and he accepted. Full day tomorrow as it's nearly 4 hours away. Will certainly have a great feel for her by the time I get home.

Mate, have a total check over, receipts as well. If all ok just buy it, I paid 10g for mine 15 yrs ago.Never regretted for one second.

It has books and original tool kit but no receipts. It passed safety certificate on first inspection. This will be my 4th GSX1400. He sent me a lot of photos and a video of it running so I'm pretty confident I'll be riding home on it tomorrow. 😊

Yeah I ended up riding her home. Cosmetically it needs some love, nothing too bad, just not up to my standard. I have already changed a few things and given her wash and polish. Getting there but will take some time. The big positive was how she rode. The suspension was better than I expected. Even the preload adjusters were free and not seized. 👌 If I knew how to upload photos id put some up.
Not sure why cosmetics need attention at those dollars🤷🏼 As long as you're happy all that matters👏

I'm just very fussy with my toys, I've made a start on getting her up to scratch.

When buying anything "used" I always bear in mind that I'm looking at something someone doesn't want anymore, finding out the true reason why is the challenge.
