Post by: Irish in Oz on Saturday, 04 July 2026, 07:47 PM
This pic popped up on my Facebook thanks to Darryl (Gruntmaster) taken at Nymboida NSW Australia 2014.
Jeff (Irish In Oz), Ross (Old Fella), Chris (Rogues), Pete (Snapey), Dean (Deano), John (!!!), Chris (Torque !!!), Dan (Catty).
Snapey may be able to fill in the !!!
I'm still in touch with most but think it's only Snapey and myself that still use the forum.

That's a great photo Jeff.  :onya:  I recall all those name except (!!!) and Torque.  Had a ride with Ross when he & his mates came over to NZ for a lap of the South.  Good to see a pic of Rogues & Pete too.  Think Ross hung up his boots a while back, haven't heard from Rogues in ages although he is a member here. Catty pops in now and again, although pretty quiet.

Ross did hang up his boots he had a big crash at Eastern Creek on a track day he is flying model planes these days. I think Chris was TorqueMaster he was a mate of Dean who lives close to me but we havn't caught up since I came back, he sold his 14 at has one of those Grom things he's also playing around with model's. Big John was the South African motor mechanic from Canberra great guy. Catty and I are in touch often should get a couple of rides in the next couple of weeks as he's on leave, maybe catch up with Greg but he is going through cancer treatment. I still havn't got down to see Pete I'm to busy retired.

Does Rogues still ride? Think he called his 2nd one the Sedate Sister cause it was B/W. He used to live in the shadow of the Oxley if I recall rightly too.

Not sure I lost his number, he was living Wauchope. I will probably be doing the Oxley in about another month with my mates from Manning Valley Taree, we do a loop of Oxley, Thunderbolts Way and Buckets Way.

That's a great photo Jeff.
Mine is Dorrigo 22nd October 2017 GSX1400 Owners gathering. I remember riding down with a group organised by Vlad (our fearless leader now). It was a challenge from memory.
I also remember sitting with Ingo in Juan's cafe having life affirming conversations.
Jeff and I had plenty of chats over the dinner table. I'm sure I have a group photo on my laptop, I'll dig it out. We had a Sweet 16th birthday for my bike including cake.
Great memories that always stay with me 👍

Jeez!  The last 9 years have been hard on ya Chris!!  :rofl2:

As for the pic of Ross, yeah, I remember seeing that at the time, bloody horrendous!  Glad he's doing ok now and flying RC planes.  I bet they love him when he goes through security at the airport!

Don't know when this one was taken. I saved it from another device in April 2018.  I know my bike had the same bars, headlight, clocked etc in 2012.

Agreed, the ugly stick that got me did a good job!  That's why I wear a fullface helmet with a dark visor, so I don't scare oncoming motorists.   :happy1:  :onya:
