I'm sure many of you lot will remember Seth Wing from all the years of the Org. Well he unfortunately passed a few days ago, I've no idea why as I only saw the messages of condolence on FB. I wasn't close enough to him to have heard it another way.
EDIT: I've heard back from Emma, via Baso & Shazzo whom many of you will remember. Emma has asked for donations to Maggie's at Dundee as it's the cancer place that helped them all the way through to the end.

Do people want me to collect donations & do a single thing from the Org or would you all rather do it yourselves? I'm happy to do so if people think that'd work better.
There's no funeral as Seth donated his body to science, but Emma is going to find a place for a memorial type thing with local camping etc. They've got a load of friends in the Netherlands & Germany from the Flying Aardvarks club they were in, so it's going to be a big event. I think I'll try to make it up there for it, so I could hand over the donations to Emma there if appropriate. No idea on a date so far, Seth passed on the 21st so way too soon for Emma to have anything sorted yet.
RIP Seth, you'll be sadly missed for sure, you loved the GSX and had a great knowledge of them. Sincere condolences to Emma.
A shame, another stalwart lost.
Seems to be the major topic once you get to "our age"...
A lot of my mates have already gone before their time.
D.D.
I've asked if there will be a collection or anything in his memory & I'll pass the details on if I hear owt. I've not got Emma on FB & I doubt she's in a place for near strangers to be messaging etc so not sure I'll find out much.
I'm gutted 😢😢😢

If anyone knew him & Emma better & knows what's going on & so forth please let us all know.
I saw Sheff's FB post earlier, but was waiting for confirmation on here.

I'll add this to the first post to make it easier to find if I can still edit it.

I only found out on Seth's FB page yesterday after Desert Fox messaged me, so tried to confirm & see if anyone else posted here first before I put anything up.
I found out that Seth was none too well a few weeks ago and spoke with him - sadly he had a brain tumour for which he had had 2 operations over the past 6 months, causing him to lose some of his memory. Whilst medical staff had advised him that he would never ride a motorcycle again, he was very upbeat about the future and looking to live life to the full.
Sadly Sunday morning Seth passed. I don't have specific details, however, clearly things took a turn for the worse since I last spoke with him.
I had personally known Seth many years through both this forum and the previous org, often meeting him on rallyes and at bike shows. A great guy, full of knowledge and always willing to help others. He loved his GSX1400's (he had two) and his partner Emma also rode one. He'll be sorely missed by all who knew him. Taken way too soon.
Thoughts and condolences with Emma and other family members.
RIP buddy, gonna miss ya. Enjoy your riding in the clouds.

Sad to hear of Seth's passing, I had wondered in recent times where he'd gone, he was usually pretty active on here. Rest in peace fella.

Thank you, I'm sure I had a historic profile here, but Seth was the best "go to" on here.
Oh, as I'm an auld duffer, how do I attach a photo?

My deepest condolences Mrs Seth. I'd never met him but believe he was a good man after reading his responses on this site. RIP 💔💔💔
P.S. thanks for the pic 🙏
Just saw this - very sad and a loss to our community.
Condolences to you and your family Mrs Seth. You'll always be welcome here if you ever happen to want to pop in.
He always seemed a decent bloke and pretty clued up on stuff.
Some things we agreed on, some things we didn't,
but always backed up his view with experience and fact.
When I was lazy or grumpy and sailed past many first posts, he always seem to make an effort and welcome folk.
I'd be a better bloke if I had his knowledge and manners.
Definitely a loss to the forum.
My condolences to you Emma for your sad loss. Look after yourself.

You will always be very welcome here Emma - Seth had many lifetime friends on both this forum and this planet and we all miss him already.
So sorry to hear the news, Seth was always so helpful to me and obviously a very decent chap.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.
RIP Seth.
