Hi all,
Thought I'd introduce myself and show a pic of my new ride. I picked up a low Km 06 GSX1400 today for a decent price. Keen to learn a lot more about them, always admired the muscle bike look and after test riding I knew why people owned them.
My previous 2 rides were:
2021 Z H2 supercharged
2013 ZX14R SE
I'm located in Mandurah WA any members down this way feel free to say hi.
Welcome Mate, looks a lovely clean bike👍Tri Oval with end baffle out, sound so nice IMO
Welcome to the forum Mutchy. :onya:
Hey Mutchy, not far from you, I'm in Baldivis. I will look out for a black (i.e. slow) 1400 on our roads then.
Gidday Mutchy, welcome to the forum, & the Black looks splendid, great find. :onya:
Ayup Mutchy, good choice on a slower colour to get used to a 14 :stir:
Welcome Mutchy, good looking bike you got yourself there.
Take no notice of the blue rinse brigade they'just want a pretty bell like the one on the blue bike behind yours for their bike
Welcome to the fold.
:welcome: :1400spray:
G'day Mutchy and welcome to the nuthouse.

Not as far as I'm aware, he barely rode it and had it stashed away. Only has 30kms on the clock which seems to be just run in for these things.

My first one has 10 times that on the clock & was running absolutely sweet as a nut prior to it's last unwanted adventure. You won't wear one of these bikes out if you remember to service it.

30 kilometres or 30,000 kilometres? If the former, it'd be almost brand new.

Wish it was 30 but it's 30,000
I bought my K3 with 32800km on it on 31.3.2017. Its now at 54600km just over 9 years later...
Eric that's around 46km/week 😳
I know Chris, way too low. Im ashamed.
I've put 15900km on the Bavarian Mistress since I bought that in Dec 2023...
My 2015 BMW R1200RT tipped 200,000kms October 2025.

I remember my first year of ownership I was taking a sabbatical. October 2021.
I rode from Brisbane to Phillip Island and back three times in that year, MotoGP, WSBK & MotoGP. Plus quite a few other adventures. I clocked up 25,000kms that year alone. I've never understood how people just leave their bikes parked up. I guess we never know sometimes what the story is.
Enjoy your pristine bike.
I'm a bit like @Hooli and only clean my bikes when absolutely necessary 😎😎

I'm in the same camp as you Chris...my thinking is that if the weather's good enough to clean it, it's good enough to ride.
