Title: Tipsy Purchases
Post by: Daemonblu666 on Tuesday, 07 April 2026, 04:20 AM
Thought I'd post here rather than continue my New Member post... As said there, I shouldn't be allowed near EBay after Easter Beers 🍻
Conf'dent' I can get rid of the small dent...IMG_0298.pngIMG_0297.jpeg

Don't bother removing the dent bud it won't make any significant difference, just waste your time.

I'm the other way Chris, I reckon cut the header through at the dent, that way you have easy access to both side of the dent, get it back to round with a mandrel (x2) then some SS Tigging & polish up & she's as good as new & you'd never know, or see the weld. (if it was done nicely & sanded back)

Course this method only works if it's single skinned SS on the Yoshi.

I'm pretty sure it won't be visible and shouldn't be enough restriction to make significant impact on flow... I'll most likely leave as is as I don't want to risk splitting the pipe. guessing repairing titanium is a bit more costly than SS?
Now the challenge of finding a can to fit the system, any suggestions?

Picked the system up today and had a chat with the seller, he bought it and couldn't find a suitable end can for it so ended up spending £1200 on another full Yoshi Cyclone system... Not holding my breath to find the right end can now 🤦🏻♂️

I'd find a can about the right size & buy/get made an adaptor between pipe sizes. Or even get a custom exhaust place to make a can, I bet that'd cost less than another system & they could probably get the dent out too.

Wouldn't surprise me if an Akra can was almost right for example.

Pipe Werx in the UK do custom race cans, with the right inlet diameter, 380mm long oval titanium can is just over £300... I'll look a bit more but I like their cans, had one on my 1290 Super Duke

I've had 4 cans on mine, all sounded good. Tri Oval with end baffle out the best. Look good also IMO

It would be worth looking at/speaking to Profusion Exhausts, they have multiple adapters on their website & if I remember correctly can do custom stuff for a fraction of the price of a new can. I have used them in the past and were very good

A reducer would be good, I've seen some nice Yoshi Hayabusa cans but they are 60mm inlet so a tad too big... I'll give profusion a look, cheers 👍🏻

There's a thread on here about fitting those cams. You need to file something slightly to allow clearance for the bigger lobes.
