Title: Bar risers
Post by: Podpeeze on Sunday, 05 April 2026, 09:01 PM
Hi guys and gals,
Can anyone identify the setup on my new bike regarding the bars and risers? Its a renthal bar..
How easy would it be to go back to standard? I prefer the look of chrome bars but I don't know how hard or easy it'll be to find a pair.
Cheers all Jon

I recognise those risers, can't think who makes them though. Seen them advertised a few places though I'm sure of that.

As for original bars, there must be loads in sheds as everyone changes them. I'll have a spare set soon but thinking of hanging on to them to stick on my old 14 to make it easier to push around until I restore it.

Yeah, I've seen those risers b4, not a fan of them. I'm a rarity that likes the stock bars, not many of us😎Risers I use are cheap but quality, 18 mm rise, 22 back. Puts brake line to its limit.

My mates 14 had them on when he bought his. Soon had them off, hated them. Said they flexed, a lot.

I'm with Grog on the standard bars with a basic riser, of course.

I know where there's two spare pairs of standard bars in Rotherham if you don't find any closer. I can ask her what she wants for some if you want?

The question has been asked...

If she says no I'll have a spare pair once I change her current bars as I'm having the old ones, so then I'll have two sets of renthals for two 14s. Might be a month or so though by the time it's organised.

I'd expect so, standard bars are 22mm or 7/8" in English.
