Title: What is this wire behind headlight?
Post by: ajs18s on Thursday, 02 April 2026, 12:18 PM
Ok, the only thing I should be aloud to do with anything electrical is sticking a 9 volt battery to a cat' freckle, So with that in mind I had to replace the headlight bulb and I noticed there is a brown 2 bladed plug not being used. What is it for?

Mate, it's for park light in headlight shell. Aussie 14 s don't come with one. I drilled shell and fitted one.I was riding one night and didn't know low beam had blown.Made me invisible so I thought back up a good idea.

Yup, exactly as Grog says.  I used mine when I fitted my 7" iris LED headlamp by Stedi.com au. I use it to run the integral DRL (daytime running light) in that lamp.  Achieves the same thing as Grog's mod, gives you a back up light in case the main fails.
