Those of you trying to understand our travelling distances in Australia.
This overlay gives some perspective.
Pete's (Rynglieder) travels always blow me away.
:rofl2: :happy1:  :whistling:
On that map Chris, i have driven from Portugal to Southern Turkey in 6 days, taking 3 days to get to the Italian border.
It's no wonder the big lap is called what it is. :onya: :clapping:
Col I wonder what the population comparison would be also.
Lots of parts of Australia uninhabited. :boogie: :coffeescreen:
Just guessing here, but I reckon Europe will have a few more peeps than Oz. :rofl2:
Interesting my trip up Norway last year got to about the top of Oz. Romania didn't get to your east coast though.
Having a few mins spare this morning I've marked the approx location of some places I've ridden too for comparison. I even rode back from most of them :whistling:
I forgot to mark home, so you'll have to google Doncaster, South Yorkshire but it's about halfway up the UK.
There's a bit of a riding gap around Poland, Belarus & Ukraine, you might go there next trip eh? :whistling:

I'd love to do a lap of the Baltic & a slight diversion to St Petersburg along the way. Latvia etc looks amazing with all the old towns & so on.
Youve seen a lot more of "Ozurope" mate.
Latvia and Estonia are amazing, at least thats what my mum and dad said when they went a few years back.
There's still a lot more to see, even in the places I've been. So it's kinda lucky there's not much outside of europe I'd really want to see. Nothing really that tempts me enough to ever fly long haul anyway.
On the Oz map I've ridden from as far north as Cairns to as far south as Phillip Island from my home of Brisbane and west only as far as Roma. Plenty in between those points as well.
That´s one hell of a lotta k´s! Nice perspective! If you take out the sea it would a whole lot of travel here in Europe, even more countries.
