Talking of turning back time.
Not mine but I saw it today, while out on a little, jolly.
You'll notice that it's a special, limited edition with a long range
oil tank, so it can reach the next garage, before it runs dry. :rofl2: :happy1:
Blends in seemlessley with the original styling too!
I believe that it doubles up, as a garage when he's not, riding the bike. :onya:
RD400 is now back on the road.
CTP Greenslip $24.00 :)
Well done Irish. They were bloody fast bikes, used to keep up to us 750 heroes mid 70s.

Only on the tight stuff Grog.
Now the LC350 was another level. I should have kept it.
Cant remember Irish, was Hustler/Rebel as good? I thought so. Redline all day, no probs.
Grog, Hustler and Rebel where earlier went up until about 72/73. I have a 65 and 69 Hustler. RD400 76 to 79 So there are overlaps in era's and we know things did get better as time went on.

So I bought an RZ500 and went past the GS1000, now that is the bike I definately should have kept. Arrived in Oz and bought it the next day for the sum of $3300 which converted back then was about £1500, it was a £3000 bike in the UK. Who was a happy chap, but try to buy one now still available with big price tag. My previous bike to the RZ in the UK was GSX1100EFE.
RZ500, imagine that for a Sunday morning blast.Age old story Irish, shouldve, couldve.

Mate had a Black and yellow speed block painted RD500. He worked in the bike trade and got a good deal on it, Stan Stephen built (legendary 2 stroke tuner).
He tried to sell it me, he'd bought himself a mint Z1100R Lawson rep, I turned it down and bought a hotted up GSX1100 Katana. None of our other circle of friends wanted it either.
I guess many of us could write a book on the bikes we turned down or sold.
And they had problems selling Lawson Rep's back in the day.
