Title: Mooloolaba Sunrise
Post by: GSXKING on Friday, 31 October 2025, 06:41 AM
We've been on a riding holiday around widebay area. Maryborough, Childers, Bundaberg, Bargara and finally two nights in Mooloolaba.
We got up at 4:30 to watch the sunrise over Point Cartwright however the clouds ⛅️ got in the way. We'll try again tomorrow.
Saturday morning we're meeting our ride group at "The Edge Cafe" @ Montville at 9:30am.
All are welcome to join us.

Cracker breakfast for a biker Chris, bit flash in Oz eh.  Basil leaves, Ciabatta bun, bacon, eggs, hollandaise & topped with a few sprouts.   What happened to the breaky pie?

Speaking as a lowly, Pom. I have to say that most of the places you guys in Aus' come from or ride to, sound more like diseases than

places.  :hat:

I've been to Fugging, before they changed the name. Got a pic of the sign somewhere with an ex hanging off it.

Just down the road is the Hamlet of Dick & it's not far from Wank mountain.

We always wanna be where we haven´t been, sometimes wanting to live there. Being from Europe I wouldn´t mind living down there. Maybe some of you wouldn´t mind living up here. That looks lovely. Most southern point for me is South Africa, lived there.

Ask Stan (@Globalrider) where he hasn't been. . .   he ended up in Vancouver BC, so I reckon that must be the best place.

Being born and raised in the UK I visited quite a few places and often thought what it'd be like to live there, from France and Spain, to Egypt, Corfu, Thailand and Cambodia, I almost settled on Cyprus, did a few trips there and was offered work. A trip to Australia prompted a few return trips looking at different states and areas, finally deciding on Qld.  It's not perfect, but it suits me.  I haven't been anywhere, or thought of anywhere that I'd rather be.

My wife and I joke and fantasise about if we won the Lotto, silly toys we'd buy, pay off the kids mortgage, maybe holidays. One thing neither of us want to do is move or leave where we are.

Yup been most places including Hell in Sweden if I remember! The 1400 has a track recorded but if you really want to ride the twisties it's NZ - I had a K75 there for 5 years and so many great memories but if you want the open roads with all types and all terrains and weather, it's the States! I have ridden that the most on R1200GS/GSF1200/VF1000F/and my keeper the 1400! It's everything you could ask for! Just not at the moment! I would love to do the big Oz circle but as my age dicktakes it could only be in a car/camper! Vancouver is a great place and BC has some of the best riding/scenery you could ever want in a 1000 mile radius but the door unlocks to venture beyond. Just let me know when you want to come!
