Quiet forum, any bikes you really liked but were underated/ never sold but were pretty good. TR1 Yamaha, a few style bits not good, rest of it i really liked. Rode well, easy to service, reliable.
Same wheels as my old 81 XJ750.
Yamaha Thunderace...outclassed by the litre scalpels, but a stunning sports tourer.
I'd rate it alongside the RF900.
1976 Honda CB400/4, an awesome little motorcycle.

By the 70s it was a great motorcycle that was highly desired. Both chopper and like that
I still have these.

looking good!
Love the Yammies Jeff
I think one the the most underrated bikes has to be the Yamaha TDM. It was the first bike to have off road style with road tyres way back in the last centaury, now every manufacturer has a version of an off road style bike with road tyres but they call them adventure bikes now.
I'm surprised that no-one has nominated the GSX1400 !! Whilst it's the only bike i want to own, it's also imo, the most underrated bike.
I think it is a great unknown by the masses of motorcycle consumers
Not always on lists of most wanted,on this site we know bloody good. Stock, modified,a brilliant blank canvas to just choose what you want. 54 years of road riding,my best bike.
Two bikes spring to my mind Suzuki RG250 and Yamaha TRX850.
Both were more capable than most riders abilities. I had a lot of fun on both over the years.
Two strokes require much more concentration on power bands.
Aprilia sourced this motor for all their 250 range, they were so good.
Agree there, especially the TRX, bit like marmite for the looks but very underrated along as has been previously mentioned the TDM
