For those who think petrol keeps your engine clean, try alcohol.

Yes, you are correct. Alcohol cleans your engine, water + alcohol even better! Earlier I had a thick layer of soot in exhaust ports, bur now with water-methanol injection a little bit less...
I wonder if alcohol cleans your intestines in the same way...... :whistling:

Why not give it a thorough testing and report back :hat:
But fuel with alcohol in it can be bad especially for older vehicles can perish fuel hoses and so on.
I know a bloke who's Land Rover was destroyed due to inadvertent use of E10 fuel.
No idea whether our bikes would have any problem but I avoid it anyway.
I have tried to clean myself inside for several years with alcohol, but it wont work properly. Im still puffing up.
I'm living proof that alcohol does indeed clean your insides. I, like T 24, have been 'cleaning the insides' for years with alcohol, and yes it does work, the more I have in the evening, the more 'crud' is removed next morning.
It's actually surprising how much is really inside, I mean, this has been going on for years an years!! I can't be still full of it. . .
Surprised you guys haven't worked this out yourselves???
T 24, that 2nd post above, is that a sphincter? Partly cleaned through alcohol?
I rather clean mysefl by alcohol. Especialy Diplomatico Exclusive Reserva works and taste great. :boogie2:
i keep ingesting it, Col a great post. i agree. ive lived this long, the rest is a bonus.
Ive been adding Acetone to my bikes for years now and never had an issue with perishing pipes/hoses.
Ive not used it on the 14 though as been told not that good for the injectors
Yes an interesting way to clean I like it but I am sure some .... might like the spirt of it to much lol
