Title: Power commander maps
Post by: Gaz1978 on Monday, 09 June 2025, 06:39 AM
Evening gents!

I've just fitted a second hand PC3 and wanted to get your thoughts on the maps for my setup.

Ive used what I think is the nearest setup on the dynojet site to what im running.....is that what you generally do??

I have a 2002 model fitted with Delkevic headers and 4-2 collector box and twin stubby Venom cans, with a k&n air filter. The map ive used is the one circled in the pic....any advice?

Thanks guys 😎

Not sure how Delkevic headers flow and if they are a bigger bore than standard ? Would they be closer to stock or an aftermarket 4-1 ?

I like pre-done flashes to derestrict bikes and change timing, timing, throttle %, cat sniffers etc but would rather see fueling dyno mapped or at least checked on one.

If changing a full system you'll need a map for that (might have some to try) but not sure I have 4-2 maps for full systems (should have some though).
For just end cans (collector box back) I've several maps that are suitable.
My always BUT is it's AWAYS BEST to have YOUR BIKE MAPPED to itself as that Always gives the very best possible results.

I'd dyno it, no point doing all that work & it never running as sweet as it could. It made a noticeable difference at low revs/throttle on mine so was much nicer to ride at speeds we normally ride at & gained 3-4mpg.

There's a place near Harrogate I used for my HD & he did a damn good job on that, https://www.daytuner.co.uk/ Cost £300 on the HD but that's a Power Vision so not sure if the price would be the same.
