Title: Stolen bike
Post by: Boa on Wednesday, 09 April 2025, 06:28 AM
A mate has had his black SV650 nicked from Earlswood, Birmingham. Reg number BP05 OJL. It was stolen late Friday night early Saturday  -  4th / 5th April.

It used to belong to my partner, so particularly hurting for her.

Weirdly, she phoned her BIL and his son saw the bike going passed their road being ridden by two lidless young oiks (one on scooter) in Yardley Wood. Sadly, we suspect it'll be found burnt out, or extremely poorly, but if any of our Brummie members see it....

UPDATE.
The bike was found in a car park near Brum airport. My mate says the police have said there's minor damage, which is a relief (details not known yet as he's picking the bike up from the compound on Monday).

The police also said that they only found it because of the sighting my patner's nephew had. I suspect they wouldn't have bothered looking had it not been for the sighting.

At the very least, i suspect it'll need new steering lock. I hope they parked it sensibly within the bays in the car park

That's a bit of luck, not many come back.

It might not be that lucky, he'll probably get a parking ticket as well.  :whistling:
