Rear brake torque rod, anyone ever polished one? I know how to but what happens to the weld on end.Maybe re paint better option?
A Dremel kit comes with some great polishing wheels that should be able to clean that weld up very nicely.
Hammerite black . . .
Only so much polishing you can do with a weld I suppose. I had mine wet blasted and clear Cerakoted. The brushed aluminium lines will disappear in the process though
I coated mine in a mixture of dirt, filth & salt for the weathered look.
Mine's got 22 y of oxidation on the.
I'm sure the polished look will give you 10kph more top speed
Parked next to this delightful performance special in Nelson on our recent trip.
As you can see, quality Chineseum finish.......
and the sport muffler....for your viewing pleasure

The photos don't really do the oxidation justice. But I thought Hooli would appreciate them.
That is a majestic majesty!
Well that's certainly a thing.
Never had a problem with the weld, the torque arm all polished up ok when I had my 14
@grog - in fact it was one of easier items to get a mirror finish on
