Very interesting Col, thanks for sharing. I've always said to my wife that when I ride, whether for work or socially that it helps me to relax and forget about stuff like work. My riding instructor many moons ago told me that "any monkey can be taught to ride a motorcycle, its the attitude you take with on the bike that matters". That has always stuck with me. I commuted to and from work for 3 years on my first Suzuki, and still to this day I find it a great 'unwinder' from the days work, so much so that I will actually take the long way home to extend the time I spend riding.
Very cool that a University has actually recorded brain function when riding. Interesting is that they did not conduct an experiment where people only thought about riding, like the violin experiment the article mentions.
