Just a quick check in to let you all know that I'm still alive and kicking
I hope everyone is all doing ok and that life is treating you all well!
I've just moved house nine days ago, so everything here is in total chaos at the moment while we attempt to get sorted out. I had to cram the contents of my 140sq ft man cave into a 2.5x2.5m2 garage temporarily until I get a shed base built for my already ordered new 20x6ft. It's the widest I can get in without digging out tons of soil. It all has to go in and out via a very understanding new neighbours garden, after first removing a fence panel or two to gain access!
My wife and I have both had a nasty flu type virus for the last two weeks, and cramming in constant twelve hour days sorting our sh*t out has hit us both hard, but we're winning the battle now, and our new home is taking shape nicely.
I was never any good at Tetris, but give me boxes to stack in a tight space and I'm wizard at it. I actually had to pull it all out again yesterday to gain access to my tool chests, which the removal company put in first and then I proceeded to bury them. Can't live without access to tools!

Garage overspill out the back/ At least the majority of my tools are in strong storage boxes, and it's all under cover..

Thank you Notty. It's been an awful lot of full on hard graft, but it's taking shape nicely now.
I'll always manage to find a space for your ellicit purchases mate, as long as they're not too big :imrgreen:
Feel sorry for you blokes. Tiny storage space you have.I have areas i cant even fill.
Are you still in the same town or have you moved on to a new location Steve?

Still in the same area, just two miles away from our old place. With the amount of upheaval it might as well have been a move half way around the world.
NEVER AGAIN..EVER!

I hope for you that this holds true. Watch your health!
Never again, great option. Ive been 32 yrs in this house, moving just wrecks my head,i know one day but never want it to happen.
@Froudy is @Notty subletting space in your shed for "illicit" purchases 😂😂😂
Space at a premium these days in the cities at least people live in apartments and rent a storage space for their "SHIT" 💩💵💵💵
Best of luck with the move, I'm sure it will settle down before you know it.
I'm sure you can see a brighter future and that will be why you have put yourself through it.
Hi Froudy, great to hear from you again. I feel you pain with shifting, I'm another one who also hates it, not moving from here now, we both agree we can die in this place, we're not moving, so I guess it's just as well I like it here then . . .

I've moved home over 40 times, I quite like it, her indoors though has a different idea.

He has been known to in the past :imrgreen:
I had a "Notty" shelf in my previous man cave. It held a few GSX1400 parts that used to land at my address, usually accompanied by a WhatsApp message asking if I could sit on them until they were required :rofl2:
I never had a problem with the arrangement, but it became a standing joke on here :boogie:
Thank you for all the replies chaps.
It's been a tough couple of weeks, but yesterday we cleared the last bits out of my man cave at the old property and handed the keys back to out landlord of nearly 13 years.
In all fairness to him he's been a great landlord. He also has his own plumbing and heating company, he'll be at our new property next week to update our central heating system and fit a new condensing boiler. The boiler here is an old (at least 30 years) Glow-Worm Fuelsaver. It still works incredibly well, but I doubt it's very fuel efficient by todays standards.
It's so nice to be a homeowner again and not have to pay out £600/month in rent! Sadly this was only made possible by the passing of my Dad last April. It's a bittersweet situation, but I know Dad hated that we were "Throwing money away in rent" and not benefitting from it ourselves. He and Mum would be happy with our choice of property and also happy knowing that we're both settled into our forever home now.
I'm thoroughly enjoying doing all the little DIY jobs despite the property needing very little doing to it.
Decoration wise..Just one wall to repaper and that's about it. Everything else is spot on, modern, and already to our taste!
I need to get a bit of groundwork done by someone to get a base in for my new man cave which was ordered in a Black Friday Sale back last year. Saved around £400 on it, and the company is happy to hold it until I'm ready for it.
Due to the garden layout and access (remove fence panel and come in through neighbours garden..Already OK'd) the new cave is 20x6ft. It'll be fully insulated and with heating and electrics.Maybe even a log burner!

The door and window panels can be fitted where required which is handy. Double doors will be on the r/h end.

A friend's wife was asked by her friend "how many bikes does your husband have?", "3" she replied
Excellent he thinks, she doesn't know.
Don't think I could live with the stress
Old Mate of mine, i introduced him and wife around 50 yrs ago, he has hidden bikes from her. Even a shed, huge, she doesnt know about. I find it ridiculous, worse for me is all the un finished projects, not even a good ride bike. Cant see the point of collection if you cant ride them??
My friend crashed his new 999 Ducati Christmas Eve near Kyogle. Knocked himself out, helicopter to Lismore base hospital. When we rang his wife she said he doesn't even own a motorcycle. He had to come clean on the others he owned as well whilst convalescing. Lost his middle finger on his left hand too.
My wife and daughter know i have multiple bikes / projects and where to find the extra parts. To them it like the Tardis or the magical shed. They do not realize i restock often :happy1:
Both of them have been a pillion multiple times. The kid can identify my bikes in a line up.
To the misses everything looks like a naked goldwing :whatever:
