Title: Kia ora
Post by: Pommeroy on Sunday, 01 December 2024, 08:20 AM
Kia ora all, I yesterday bought a 2008 GSX. I only rode 25kms home, but the smile hasn't left my face  :boogie2:
After 40 years of riding sports bikes, my body protested more and more, really detracted from the joy of biking...so, the GSX has replaced my 02 R1.
The GSX reminds me so much of the bikes I fell in love with in the 70s, and the grunt of a TLS I owned  :)

Yeah mate found the same, GSXR1000 K6 was a beaut but the old bod suffered after a ride. So traded on my GSX1400 a few years ago .
It reminded me of my 81 gsx1100 ET  which I also loved in its day .

Had a couple of Bandit 1200's as well.    Enjoy your bike   Gaz xx

Very nice! One of my favourite colours.

Yeah, the 14 is a great middle ground between a proper Old Skool classic and a modern missile.

Mines a black 08, and whilst I love black or blue bikes that colour scheme is one I'd love to have.

Gidday Pommeroy, welcome to the forum.  Which bit of NZ are you in?  There's a few members up north but bugger all down south.

Kia ora KiwiCol, thanks for the welcome.
I lived in mid-Canterbury for 15 years, until I moved to the Manawatū four years ago for work. I miss seeing the Alps on my way to work.

:) Thank you Seth, Kiwifruit, VladTepes and
Grog for your posts. This forum is one of the friendliest (of any kind) I've come across.

Grog, I know what you mean...before I met my kiwi-wife-to-be in the UK, I had only seen Kia Ora on bottles of orange squash (aka orange cordial)!

I think being woke would constitute fair grounds for permanent banning, whaddya reckon?  :happy1:
