Stan aka Rolf aka Shred - the last one I was awarded for running a tyre to the canvas in the middle of Montana! - not a bike shop anywhere. A guy passed me doing a 1000 miles an hour as I was limping along trying desperately not to blow the tyre. He lived in the next town and had a race tyre that fitted my 1200 Bandit - I made it home on that one!! - no sides but middle was good!
:jack:

Dracula's castle ya mean?
Nope the remains of that are ion Turgoviste, Romania.
slaines castle is what bram stoker used for the british castle in the story as he had a holiday home on the south side of the bay
the castle was changed in the final draft to whitby as a Russian schooner ran a ground just as he was finishing the book.
Don't they have concerts at Slaine Castle ?
not in the 30 years I've lived near there
the old peterhead prison does now
and many years ago the outdoor swimming pool next to macduff used to have a music festival.
When did the prison close? my wife used to work there.
So this is my entry.
the prison closed a few years ago
its now a museum and used for concerts/film locations .
a new prison hmp grampian was build next door (overlooking asco's base) and that also replaced aberdeen prison their building houses and flats on that site .
all change up north

Depends on the screen daveh and your height - the adjustable screens you can angle so the air flow moves more to the top of your helmet when riding to reduce buffeting. On things like fixed screens and cockpit fairings, then you are constrained by the angle set by the manufacturer.

You will be in the middle of Oz Barmy, so only up the road. Come for a ride to Sydney on the east coast, only a 2850km ride away.
Is that how far it is from Sydney to Ayres Rock?
Yep.
correct sweaty
your go put a pic up see if we can guess it :stir:
Quote from: VladTepes on Monday, 27 March 2017, 04:05 PM
Yep.
@VladTepes Bloody hell, that's 9 or 10 tanks of gas just to get there!!! You'd be wanting an H2R then!
Our whole thing is only about 1600k long & 2850 is only half of it!
Do they have lots of gas stations along the main roads? Like how far would you need to go between fills?
Never ridden out there mate - couldn't tell you.
Yep on the size thing... http://gsx1400owners.org/forum_test/index.php?topic=871.0
Barmy you should inbox me, have a beer - I'm in Alice. I've done the Alice to Syd ride a number of times, plenty of fuel along the way. Did it on a gsxr600 a few times, got close to empty. Was a bit more of an issue when the open speed limits were in play.. The 14 is fine. From here down to Port Augusta is cruising in a straight line, big open country for a day or two depending on your focus and appetite for eating miles (1200 odd kays). Can get bloody windy too, I once wore the tyres off one side from leaning to the right for a whole day to compensate. A throttle lock thing is handy. Gets good heading east from there with the flinders ranges.
OPK who has another where's this challenge to post? can be anything doesn't need to have been on a 1400 trip or anything.
Where is this and what is the Wheel called?

Early 80's in the Falklands?
Close enough, it's mount Kent radar site on east Falkland in 1987, the temp dropped to -35 and froze the diesel oil in the storage tanks so we had no power for 4 days, bloody cold.
Did you light a fire under the storage tanks? Should work....
Yes, we did but we also added a lot of antifreeze. Lucky for us the cook had gas so he became a very popular guy and we had hot food and drinks.
This thread seems to have stuttered which is a bit of a shame.
Here's an easy one for you:
is it LEICESTER, :whistling:

Yep, that is the parliament building in Budapest in the background.
Now your turn - post one up of your bike somewhere. If you haven't got one of your bike, a scantily clad woman with something interesting in the background would be acceptable to me :)
No need for a background for Pete . . . :whistling:
OK - Where is this?
At a 'guess' I'd say outside a lifeboat shed, RNLI to be more specific. 11 The Parade, Walton on the Naze Co 14 UK?
Just random like . . .
The flag tells you it's UK, the doors tell you it's a boat shed, download Stan's pic, enlarge it & you can see RNLI Shop above the door to the right, google that & bingo we have an answer.
Not really the way it's done though, so disqualified.
Came across this thread and saw GSXBaarmy and his 'Çliffs of Moher Walk''. Thought I would share one.
I''ll like the overseas guys to tell me where is this, no Aussies or Kiwis OK (maybe you Tasmanian's can have a go  )
It was in 1980 and easily accessible.
Pretty sure I saw this on a mini series about australian history. Should be south coast, but I am beat when it comes to longitude and latitude :whatever: Easily accessible  tell that to your ancestor who couldn't land their boat there :rofl2:
