Nothing stolen this time, but a couple months ago. That led to the installation of a security cam. House next door and one across mine were burglared this summer.
Called police in the morning. The first wasn't too keen on i as too much time had elapsed. When I mentioned the video, she deemed the info important and put me through to the "correct" person. That guy had no interest at all.
Not one to give up, I called the crime prevention hotline. The officer answering was not happy about his fellow officer's response. Told me to file online. That way "it can't be brushed under the rug."
So I did file online.
Re-noticed that I need to adjust the motion detection of the light, so it comes up earlier to create better recording.
What a scummer, I'd cull such creatures with pleasure.

I will refrain if or if not I would take action against this guy if we were to meet. But I place a bet that he would discover that even young guys can suddenly shite and pee their undies.
20 years ago I discovered a burglary at my place of work. Was on a weekend and I was the only idiot going to work. Little was stolen. However damage was great. Cops arrived minutes after my call. Went through the building with them; their guns drawn. Then had to wait forever until the guy from CSI came. He took some fingerprints but was pretty sure that this would avail nothing. He grew excited however, when I showed him a cigarette that a perp had thrown on the carpet. They caught the perp later on. The DNA added to the list of burglaries he committed laid before the judge.
The CSI guy apologized for letting me wait for so long. He was held up at a crime scene which looked like a slaughter. Shortly after it turned out that the victim was the father of the girl that my parents "adapted" as their grandchild. It was then judged to have been suicide. Not a way I would commit suicide. Cutting and stabbing yourself all over would be an unusual way to do it imo.
Years later, I talked to a criminal with Italian roots. Giving him the info about the case, he told me that this was typical mafia execution style. The girl's father was Italian.

Agree, retiring is so bloody good. Been 3 months, time goes so quick, jobs ive put off mostly done. More riding, cooking skills improved, have to look at calendar to know which day it is. 👍

Have to drop the video of by the police. Supposedly technical problems during transmission. Anyhow, happy to see that they don't sweep it under the rug (yet). The owner of the camera is concerned that we get into trouble because of violating privacy rights. Appeased him by saying that I will take the blame for it.
Posted some info in the neighborhood forum. Even got a call from one of the ladies regarding the "event", wanting more details. Was clear why she wanted to talk privately with me. Her first question was not "politically correct". In Germoney, many people are afraid to be labeled "NAZI" for asking certain kinds of questions.
Yeah, you're treated like you said something wrong here if you ask if it's the usual immigrant population that have committed yet another crime.
Most of the time it is, so that should be accepted & dealt with. Not hidden away.

Things are changing here. Pendulum is swinging the other way now. I hope it stopps swinging right-smack-in-the-middle. Reality and pracmatism should be king.
We're slowly seeing it swing back in the opinion of some of the public too, thankfully. Just need those unfortunately elected last time to serve the people once again but I won't hold my breath for that.

Well above 70% disapproval rate for our current government. Huge setbacks in a couple of recent state elections for the 3 government parties. Next government doesn't have to be great to do better than our incompetent and ideology driven current one.
ALL political parties make me feel uneasy. The big problem I have with the guy who is most likely to become the new chancelor may turn out a blessing for Germany. Only future will tell.
Pleasant experience at the police station today. Surprised though how locked down the place was. Watched the video together and was told about the processing steps. Will see if that eventually gets rid of a little scum (at least for a while).

Our previous government were shocking, however the idiots that we have now are downright dangerous yet blame their foolhardy decisions and policies on the black hole left by the previous crowd. I'm afraid that we are in for a very very tough four years and will be absolutely no better off at the end of it, the working man will be hit hard while the rich continue to prosper, talk now of targeting inheritance tax which is a load of rubbish as most wealthy ppl have already formulated plans to pass on their wealth in a tax free way - boils my piss I have to say but you may have gathered that by now :furious: :furious: :furious:
