Why ? Lazy / injury / work
Enjoy it's a great head buzz.
Correct Ginju, 14 is so good after a break. Ive had a few, turn that throttle up and you wonder why you missed that riding time.
Lost a bit of interest
Looks good Mate, i like silver 14. Does your parking trolley have a brand/ model? You can just stick on there and wheel it around?
I lost interest in riding for the rest of the year. It was a nice enough day, so decided to go for a spin through the corners. Wasn't much fun due to the wet leaves in the corners and me having to adjust my line accordingly.
Now my interest shifts to maintance work until next spring.
I sort of find hard to understand Andre. Must get really cold? Lucky here, Winter is perfect, Summer too hot. Rest of year pretty good.
I know a lot of people who do that Andre. It's a different style of riding when you're avoiding leaves etc that's for sure. I do like to still get out & feel I've left the house though.
Oddly I'd got bored of bikes for a few months over summer & hardly used them. Just starting to like them again now.
Times have changed from year round and long trips to focussing on corners in (near) perfect (for me) conditions. I don't need the bike to drag me out of the house. As the rain is over for now, I'll go for a long brisk walk followed later by one or two walks to a couple of super-markets.
Having an off-season for the bike makes time for other things I enjoy.

I don't do the longer rides as much as I used to, I have other things in my life and a declining health, it's not something that bothers me. My bikes used to be an escape from work but that's not an issue now.
I have found I switch between rides and shed time. It's become my normal to ride a few times a week for a week or two and just park the bikes up untouched... then I might go for a while doing maintenance, mods, playing with projects etc and a bike never leaves the shed.
One advantage is this lets me take advantage of the nicer weather and spanner on less than perfect days.
If it rained on my weekends I was never that happy. Now I look forward to seeing some rain, water in the tanks and garden, thinking I'll just ride another day.
If I'm home I ride 4/5 days a week, most are only around 100klm but throw in a 300/400k ride on a weekend. Winter time we escape for 4/6 months a year with the caravan.
