Title: Polish engine fins and can cover??

Hey everyone, I've noticed that my engine fins and cam cover is showing some milking on the exposed fins and cam cover.

Has anyone polished these before? I don't want to make it worse by trying to clean it up.

I used a fine sandpaper on them with a block and they came up OK, not polished as such but better than before

Mate, just get into both with wet n dry paper, less abrasive as you go. I then just use Autosol, bit of hard work but they come up nice, some wax and amazing how long they shine. In our climate its yrs not weekis, bit of a rub over now and then.
