Hi All. Adding this one to the stable tomorrow - 2005 done 39k. I ride mostly enduro and adventure but my wife has moved away from that and bought another road bike. So here I am adding another bike "just so I can ride with her" ;) .
I'm guilty of getting carried away with my bikes so there'll likely be some changes made to this one. Starting with painting the wheels black ASAP.
Gidday Lurch, welcome to the forum! That looks a mint machine :smitten: R&B's are a rare breed, are you sure you want to paint those wheels black? It's you bike n all, but IMO it look very smart as it is.
G'Day Lurch and welcome to the nuthouse. Where are you situated ? What does your wife ride ?
Welcome
I'd paint them in the same red as in the rest of the bike. The current red doesn't look right to me.
Welcome Lurch!
Nice R'n'B! IMO the best colour combination made, as I have the same. Fellas with blue & white bikes, with white rims (of course) will soon turn in here saying theirs are the fastest and best looking, that's only cause these R&B's are hard to find since the proud owners of them don't want to let go of these beauties.
Regarding the wheels, definitely not stockers, they came as black ones from the factory. One vote from here to paint them.
Oh, there was one beautiful R&B K5, a total rebuilt. I think it was Kanerdog who built it. The topic might be available here somewhere, though I think it was originally from the previous forum which is not available anymore. Someone has maybe more info on this one. Anyway, have fun scrolling thru the forum! :hat:
Welcome Mate. Now just choose how you want it
Welcome to the forum Lurch. :onya:

The red is a poor colour match for the rest of the bike unfortunately. Think I'll go black with the lip polished.

Near Toowoomba. She's got a Ducati Scrambler 800 and a DR650 adv bike with all the bells and whistles (and then some).

Welcome
The AP5 is mine, too nice a day to not arrive in style to view the 14. Camaro is the soon to be former owners car and is very nice.
You Rang!

Welcome mate
G'day there are a few of us here in SE Qld - mostly around Brissie / sunshine coast though I think.
Always wanted a kitted DR650 too but I think I'm getting too old and would probably do myself some damage...
Is that a blue Val in the background?

The blue Val is my AP5. Poor thing has a couple too many wheels for me so very rarely gets used and needs to be sold when the market improves.
The DR is one bike I can't see ever being sold. I have a Husky 701 with all the bells and whistles that is a much better performing bike but I still regularly choose to ride the DR, and it gives me a smile every time. The DR does have thoroughly sorted suspension, high comp piston, big valve head etc however so that probably helps.
Ive said b4, DR in our twistys rules, grippy tyres , shows up the racer types on Panigale etc. He has so much fun giving it to them. They hate been passed by a cow chaser
I'm having fun on my Motard Chook Chaser.

No point in telling you, it's not a Suzuki.

It's a Mash 650 (French company, Chinese built) - https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/mash/x-ride-classic-650/2020/
Well there you go, learn something every day.
