Hi folks,
I purchased by K3 with a nasty scratch on the Suzuki decal on the tank and wanted to replace it .
The dealer says it is not a simple peel off and replace job as the decal is under the clear coat !!
Apart from a tank respray is there any other options ?
Thanks for your words of wisdom
Ciaran
Unfortunately the decals are under the lacquer so a full respray is really really the only option 😕
The decals aren't cheap either I had my k6 tank fully refurbished a few years ago and it was £500 (the decals have gone up in price since then.
Good luck
Touch it up. If done well you'll be the only one who realy notices it. Certainly beats the price of a respray.
No idea on the source of them as he bought them like it. But I know a lad who's got the complete 'paint job' on the tank as a sticker, only reason I noticed is one of the blues is metallic which they weren't originally. Looks like they were applied to a plain white tank.
Touch up Mate, paint codes on here somewhere. Little bottle with a brush, no one knows why i needed one :hat:
Leave it, gives you street cred; "ridden not hidden"
Baglux tank bag.....it will stop you doing it again :cheesy:
