Post by: Smu71 on Wednesday, 03 April 2024, 12:46 AM
Greetings,

Just put a deposit on an 08 Final Edition in Blue / White and looking forward to putting some miles on it this year. Hoping it will be as good as everyone tells me they are!

Thanks,
Mark

Not seen that bike before on here, but still possibly a member, however, unlikely as I think they'd of posted pic's of it.

That bike is from Brian Wilson, his screen name on Oldskoolsuzuki.info is Dangerous .
Sadly he does not have a build thread ( yet )

I cant remember seeing him on here.

That must have been a seriously expensive build! It was one of the stars of the show for me, that and a perfect lucky strike RG250...
(I know, it's not a 14 but it was still a dream of mine many years ago)

Picked my 14 up today, had a very easy ride home along the A1 but love it already. Noticed a couple of things I want to sort quickly and looking for a bit of help.
1. The gear lever has quite a bit of play and is adjusted down a little too much for me.
2. The throttle twist grip slides from side to side quite a bit and is a little loose on the bar. Is this normal?
Any help / guidance on how to sort would be greatly appreciated.

1. Gear lever see here: https://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=2120.0 (https://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?topic=2120.0)

2. You can adjust the play of the throttle grip to your liking by loosening the 2 screws underneath the cable housing of the crip assemply. A tiny bit of play is needed though to keep it from getting stuck.
