Completely voluntary, but I'm trying to figure out who's our oldest member still riding, so if you feel inclined to bung your age down in a post, that'd be appreciated.
I'm only doing this out of interest after reading one of Roo's posts saying he's 75 in April & just wondering if he's our eldest.
Spring Chicken me, just 68, licensed for 52 years, riding 60.
Just turned 69 a month ago......young at heart still though :whistling:
63 soon to be 64 end of August.
First mini bike at 12 so nearly 52 years of riding.
Came home from hospital in sidecar in 1960 if that counts lol 😂
We wait for Notty . . .
65 in September got my bike license 2 days after I turned 15.
As I tell you every April, I will be 57 and a few months this year.
Another thread I can 'lose'. 47 & only started riding when I turned 30.
So Hooli doesn't win the "oldest git" award, but probably has a decent chance of winning the "most miles per year" award, judging by the just-run-in 1402,plus the HD plus the little Honda he has for running around....
50 on Friday, started riding around 27-28 I think,
61 last January, riding over fields since I got my first bike at aged 10 . License at 16 , never been without a bike since :riding:
37 in the head - 73 in the body -
69 last week-body 89 :bugga:
63 in June, still 28 mentally (or just plain mental) riding since age 20.
D.D.
Like Kiwifruit, I'm 65 this year as well (All Saints day actually) First bike at 15 & been riding since, 50 years & still learning.

Very impressive knowledge & mileage for someone who started 'late'. :clapping: :worshippy:

Just making up for lost time.
I wanted a bike at 16 & my mum gave me a car to distract me. Couldn't afford to learn till I was 30 as I was doing silly things like running two cars or a modified LR for weekends on pay & play sites etc etc.

Cheers Kiwicol, having giggle here with the possibilty of being the oldest still peddling ??? !!! Yeah 75yrs on the 10th April ! and riding with licence for 60 years !
On bike number 56 now,all Japanese stuff starting on 80cc Yamaha YG1...then on to yds3's etc etc.... Getting harder to get to the edge of the tyres these days.
:rofl2: :rofl2: Bobbie saw this topic and said you act like a child most of the time.
Never lose your inner child I told her. :smitten:
Agree, just be a child, appreciate fun not other crap, that is politics, religion, peer pressure, status symbols, especially other peoples criticism of you.I like my life, its tougher the older you get, set goals, buy new toys.Sorry to rant but having fun is the key.
We need to get some more younger blokes onto 1400s or maybe they are just all on faceache.
Ya need wisdom to get a GSX1400 and wisdom comes with . . . ? :whistling:
Cant imagine young blokes liking a 14, doing adjustments needed, my youngies at work only ever say, so bloody clean Mate, never say its a nice bike. They prefer pocket rockets or Hardlys
I was told if I hadn't grown up by the time I was 50 I didn't have too.
57 this year and still not grown up and don't intend too
Hooli your nearly there don't give in 🫣

According to the ORG standard, i am a young one at 47 years old
I know a lad who's mid/late 20s & on about his fourth 14 - silly sod keeps crashing them. He loves them.
So after all this research - who gits the old fart award?
Well, it appears it's Roo, 75 this year.
Really thought Notty would have pipped him by 5 or more years . . . :stir: :whistling:

I can't even get his dad to rejoin! It's Moonie's lad, if you remember him from the old ORG.

Moonie here but he's not called moonie
56. Had the idea this was an old bloke“s bike. But not certain now, we all seem young. My grandpa rode till he was 80. He started me into this, got my license when he took me to the exam at 16.
Guy on the German forum is thinking of selling his 14. He is 86!
I would have qualified for my state pension today if they hadn't moved the goalposts! :imrgreen:
My dad is thinking about selling his Goldwin -the 1500 cc six cilinder boxer version- at the ripe age of 77 years. It is becoming a bit heavy to manoeuvre in the locker and such. That thing weighs 800 pound / 360 kg so i cant blame him.
He is unsure if there will be a "real" replacement motorcycle as he kinda digs the Aprilia MP3 twist and go tri-cycles. :whatever:
Sounds like i can do a few more yrs then,86 thats a good effort, ill try for that👍
