Our North Queensland friends just had this bastard cross the coast. All fingers crossed for them, cyclones are terrible things. Death and disaster usually, not this time im hoping.

Category 2 now, was upgraded from C1 earlier today. Some here reckon that if it crosses the CY peninsula it could re gather some energy in the Gulf of Carpentaria, hit Darwin and make its way down the north west coast of WA

Jasper didnt blow them away but decided to rain. Such a mess, very sad. 3 1/2 yrs of London rain in one week, incredible. Where i live we hold one day record, 937mm, up North got very close today.

I've heard reports tonight some areas of FNQ (Far North Queensland) have recorded 2200mm of rain in 4 days so 2.2 metres not sure how many feet it is but the flooding is horrendous 🙏🙏
If we could harness it we'd never have another drought 🧐
