Title: Suzuki GSX-S1000GX
Post by: VladTepes on Monday, 13 November 2023, 10:55 AM
Stupidest name ever.

Not memorable, as there are quite a lot of letters in that name which are repeated and it doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Potentially interesting but I haven't looked into it much yet.

All I happened to catch was an MCN video about it, which was pure shill. Some squeaky voiced, nutless, spider legged "bike journalist" interviews two experts (Suzuki employees) who tell him how great it is, after he rads the spec sheet.  Yeah fascinating NOT.

Here's info from the Suzuki site:  https://www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au/range/road/sport/gsx-s1000gx/ (https://www.suzukimotorcycles.com.au/range/road/sport/gsx-s1000gx/)

Has plenty of gizmo's for sure but at $26K the price is a bit high I reckon.

Just another new type model, most brands do nothing for me. Went to the bike shops few weeks back, only new bikes i like are Triumphs. They have some nice ones that are modern and old skool. They even have rear ends on some.

Yeah for the cost of a new bike, you'd think they sell you a complete bike wouldn't you? why leave the last 2ft of bodywork off?

Seat height way too high for me even if I liked it ( which I don't ) at  845mm my little legs would never reach the ground !  :bugga:

Agree totally Hooli, T120 is good, even your Hardlys are good. such a stupid design thing. I look at new bikes, really wouldnt mind a change, choice is minimal. 15 yrs later my 14 still seems ok, would love radials on front my only wish. Yeah, i know can convert but my 6 pots working fine, just not as good.

Yeah a mate has got a Fat Bob, stupid name & stupid missing back end on that too. The bigger engine must be more fun, but why miss part of the bike off?

Looks like a smaller fairing than GSX1000GT and everything else looks similar I'm sure the price won't deter anyone

Hand covers look very cheap and nasty, like a second thought 🤮
