Title: Aliexpress Crash Bars?
Post by: Coopz on Monday, 30 October 2023, 09:25 PM
Seen some Crash bars for the 1400 on aliexpress for around $300 posted (worthless Aussie dollar..), local Hepco Becker things are $500. I've used Aliexpress bars before for my V-Strom and Versys with no issues but has anyone tried the Ali GSX 1400 ones?

I think you will need to protect the frame where the one mount is attached with the U clamp, I can see that causing a bit of damage to the paint possibly

I assume you don't ride round corners?

The look like the ones I had once that touch down long before the pegs do.

They look like Givi, no way of telling.Thats what i have Givi.Boots waydown before bars on mine, never scraped them but wear out boots.Prob just chinese copy but could be totally different. Mounting on frame is just a few rolls of tape, no probs. Id look for others, dont trust Ali. I saw on that site Yoshi cans for a few dollars, only the brave would buy them. IMO.

I was thinking the Renthal ones, but like you say you can't really tell. I definitely can't as on a work PC now & the pics won't load.

OK thanks for the help, I'll probably pass, the bike looks better without them and I've only dropped 2 bikes in 25 years..

That was a silly thing to say - now you'll probably drop it in your driveway this evening!
