Mate today telling about his Dad. 87 yrs old, has Bonnie with sidecar. Every day he does 50k return trip to buy newspaper. One day east to next town, next day west to town. All praise from me, mighty effort.  :clapping:

I doubt I'll even make that age, but I'd love to still be able to ride my bike at that age if I make it (and can afford the insurance).

In Australia we have Ulysses Clubs and I've been fortunate enough over the years to meet the guy who started it all when he was still alive and aged in his 80's, he was always known as #1.
Since his passing there have been a succession of #1's replacements and the membership has grown and grown.
You have to be 40 to be a junior member.
I've resisted joining as I still have a large group of mates to ride with.
The events I've attended run by Ulysses in the past have always been run professionally and the joys of riding are shared amongst the older riders.
They are my inspiration to continue riding as long as I'm able.
