It isn't exactly as it came from the factory either, those crash bars are an add-on.   15 year old rubber?   so there's more expense before it leaves the shop, unless they're putting new shoes on her at sale but it doesn't say so.

Admittedly that one has only 794 miles (Not that its a good thing) but the condition is NO BETTER than mine was when I bought it!
Mine had around 6,300 miles but had been cleaned and polished for the previous 5 years to me owning it with just 50 miles covered in that time!
When I got home on her the left fork seal was literally peeing out oil all over the floor.. I assumed hardened / dried out seals due to lack of use..
I paid £6750 which I really didnt mind because of the condition and the fact (like the one in the add) its the very last year they were made. (Mine is also a 2008 model).
I will watch his add just out of interest to see what happens..

Hey lets not ridicule him.. The more he dets the more the prices are bumped up for ours !

What I don't get is why buy a bike if you're not going to use it, then proclaim the low miles as some sort of badge of honour!!

Anyone who pays that price is a numpty  :hat:

Here's a K5 with 2086 miles on the clock for £6500, nearly half the price!

All the best ... Barry

To me, an advertised mileage this low for a bike this old is quite doubtful.
OK it looks quite very on the photos the seller has chosen to show, but there is no way that the disks are this marked at only 700 miles -- unless the pads have been installed flipped over :-)
It's so easy (and inexpensive compared to the price asked for) to change clocks for new ones and 0 miles on the '14...

Maybe I'm too suspicious...

It has new tyres, T32 Bridgies, crash bars, hugger. No stocker.  Agree totally, crazy price, bikes are to ride. No more comment from me.

Unless there's two other 14s that come with it in similar condition to make it a reasonable price then they are in cloud cuckoo land.

I'm not upset, I'm just laughing at their delusions.

It's an old Jap bike & as much as we love them they'll never be a classic. Classics aren't built in metric.

I'd be rapt to get that sort of money for my 20yo jap bike, no way I'd buy one for that money though.

Always dubious on low k vehicles,

caveat emptor

Exactly correct Irish, just never know. This week, Mate sold his house, had it at stupid price, not caring if it sold. Someone came along, got 200G over his stupid price. One mans junk, someones treasure.

that could be a can of worms to the buyer  :whatever:   we all know if an oldish vehicle has very low miles due to lack of use can have issues, like corrosion inside the engine and O rings and seals drying out. personally I'd go for a bike that gets used with a few more miles on it and a lot more cheaper, more so with the 1400 as it can handle high miles.

You be lucky to find a high mileage bike in the UK, they seem to average about 1000-1500 miles per annum.
Hooli might have one for sale.

And my K3 engine is only at a piddly 103k miles, but starting to add more as in the K4 at the moment

All the best ... Barry
