Title: Please help!
Post by: kingman on Friday, 09 June 2023, 06:18 PM
Please help....a year ago I fell....slow speed. I replaced the throttle cables that snapped. I put in new fuel and spark plugs, however, the engine runs on 2 cylinders and shuts off. The fuel pump works normally, all four spark plugs give a spark and there is no error on the display. It seems to me that the first and fourth cylinders are hotter than the second and third. Has something similar happened to anyone, so I know what else to check? Thank you very much in advance!!!

Coils, you have two coils and four plugs so I think one of them has been disturbed.  One coil runs cylinders 1 & 4 the other runs 2 & 3.

Aye that, check the coils are plugged in properly. You probably had them off to do the cables after all.

Next I'd check the vacuum hoses

Yeah, as above.   Anything 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 related would have me looking at one side of the coils as a first point of call as that's how they feed.

Good luck and let us know how it go's.

Just to let you know what the problem was, so maybe we can help someone. :onya:
Defective vacuum sensor, cracked vacuum hose on the 4th cylinder and broken springs on the connection between the injector valves. New battery installed. About 350 euros for parts and work.

It's good you've had it fixed  :onya:  :clapping:   but what are these broken springs between the injector valves?  Not heard of these things . . .

I suspect he means the springs in the balancing mech between the throttle bodies, it's the only bit with springs I can think of there.

Glad you got it fixed, I hope they replaced all vac lines and joiners whilst there
