During normal operation the clutch is fine. If I try to do a very fast standing start and slip the clutch a little, it suddenly "drops" despite not moving the clutch lever any further. Its alomost like the clutch has a slight but sudden delay in its engagement during fast takeoffs.
She has 55,000kms on her so I'm thinking it might be something like a notched clutch basket.
Gidday Cal & welcome to the forum.
Have you replaced the clutch fluid? Have you cleaned out the slave and its surroundings? Have you done the 'Busa' seal mod to the slave? These bikes don't normally have any issue with the clutch, no matter what you're doing with them, even turbo 14's use std clutch.

Hi Cal well you've come to the right place to solve this or any issues you may encounter with your GSX. Some of the members may help you with or without an introduction. I'll be watching with interest 😳😳
May or may not be related to your issues, but it's not unusual for the Back Torque Limiter / Slipper Clutch to spoil hard launches on big Suzuki's. Very common mod to bin it and lock it up on Busa's and B-Kings. The 14 has a version too. No issues at all in tame sensible daily use, it won't feed a lot of power in smoothly when used hard, less of an issue in normal riding but at the drags or a traffic light GP starts it's awful at times.
What Col said. Full on launches, what Tony said. Cant say ive had that problem, never really tried a full on drag start. goes ok from stopped for me. Back in old org days i did experiment on diff oils. Tried about 10 types. Expensive, only left in for around 1000k. Results gone now, sure was a diff in some regarding gear change and clutch operation. Some of the expensive bike only oils werent that good. Gulf Western Synnex 3000 my choice, its the cheapest and best ive used. Been in a long time now.
Welcome to the forum Cal. :onya: What about posting a picture, we like pictures.
Welcome mate good to see you here .
Show them your bike as its stunning
Have you tried spraying a bit of WD40 into the plunger of the master cylinder? Mine dried out somewhat and good spray to ensure everything was lubricated fixed it instantly.
