Some time ago I know I posted on here about a rear spring compressor I had made for me by a guy on eBay.
That link no longer works..
Here are some updated details..
His prices are excellent (Do a search and you will see they can cost 5 times as much for the same thing!!).
I have his permission to give his details both eBay and his mobile number.
He specialises in old British bikes but will make a compressor to your requirements.
Unfortunately I gave my previous tool away (lessons learned !!) so I had a replacement made..
£40 inc postage is brilliant.
It is VERY heavy duty to say the least.
When I received mine the hole diameter on the tool was something like 50.7mm
The collet is 51mm, so I used a dremel and gradually enlarged it to around 51.5mm. Its a snug fit around the collet but as you can see in the photos it works..
On our bikes the spring doesnt protrude much at all so do NOT go larger than say 52mm at the max!!
